Anti-Brexit campaigner Gina Miller left London's Supreme Court being booed by pro-Brexit demonstrators on Tuesday, after the first day of the court's hearing of two appeals over the lawfulness of Prime Minister Boris Johnson's decision to prorogue parliament.

Scottish National Party MP Joanna Cherry QC was also seen leaving the court.

The case is expected to last up to three days.
