Workers were filmed setting up fences around St Thomas' Hospital in London on Monday, where UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has spent the night after his coronavirus symptoms reportedly worsened.
Boris Johnson, who was admitted over COVID-19 symptoms 10 days after he tested positive, is expected to remain in charge of the government while in hospital.
Foreign Secretary, Dominic Raab, has been the designated next leader if Johnson's health fails, and reportedly stood in for him at the COVID-19 response committee meeting on Monday morning.
According to Johns Hopkins University, who compile data from the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), the UK has almost 50,000 confirmed COVID-19 infections cases. The total number of infections worldwide has now surpassed 1.25 million.
