Hundreds of Los Angeles Lakers fans attended a ceremony in memory of the late Kobe Bryant outside the Staples Center in Los Angeles ahead of their team's game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday.
Inside the stadium, the team had 24.2 seconds of silence, after the audience watched a video of Bryant, and heard from Kobe himself about his career and family.
The chairs in the stadium covered in roses and draped with Bryant's No.24 Laker jersey and Gianna's No.2 Mamba jersey.
"His legend will live on and so will the Lakers," said one of the fans who attended the ceremony.
The memorial came before the Lakers played Portland in its first game since Bryant, his daughter Gianna and seven other people were killed in a helicopter crash on Sunday.
