Guillermo Barros Schelotto gave his first press conference as the new manager of LA Galaxy in Los Angeles on Thursday.

The former Boca Juniors coach said he was "happy" and "excited" to join the Major League Soccer (MLS) side.

Barros Schelotto left the club last month after losing to arch rivals River Plate in the final of the Copa Libertadores.

The game was postponed and then relocated after River fans attacked the Boca team bus on its way to the second leg.

The ex-Argentine striker had lead the club for two and a half season, winning two domestic titles in that time.
