A four-year-old Malayan tiger named Nadia has tested positive for the novel coronavirus at Bronx Zoo in New York on Sunday.

Footage shows the Bronx Zoo temporarily closed as US struggles with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nadia was tested for the virus after she and six other tigers and lions developed symptoms of the respiratory illness.

The big cats have reportedly contracted the virus from an asymptomatic zookeeper and are all expected to recover.
