Viola Brand, European and Vice World Champion in the sport of artistic cycling demonstrated her amazing skills in front of passersby in Stuttgart, on Tuesday.
''Germany is one of the reigning countries in artistic cycling. We have many artistic cyclists in Germany and so yeah, Germany is one of the best countries where the artistic cyclists come from and normally at the World Championship or European Championship, we always win medals,'' Viola explained.
Despite the sport being most popular in Europe, according to Viola there are competitors from all around the world, such as Hong Kong and Japan.
In terms of the skills required, Brand cited stamina, flexibility, strength, discipline and patience as key.
Artistic cycling saw its first official world championships in 1956 and 1970, for males and females respectively and can be competed officially as a single athlete, in pairs, four or six person teams.
